Mark Rodgers grew up in the heartland and brings a lifetime of Oklahoma experience to Eyewitness News 5 and “Sports Xtra.”
The Sooner State native graduated from Blackwell High School and received his degree from the University of Oklahoma. Since 1995, Rodgers has owned and published the state’s most comprehensive football annual, The Oklahoma Pigskin Preview. His travels across the state have earned him a reputation as one of the region’s foremost experts on high school football and college recruiting.
Rodgers is a contributor at WWLS-AM radio, where he hosts the “Middle of the Day Show.” He also serves as host of the syndicated “Kelvin Sampson Show” on television during the college basketball season. Since August 2002, he has reported from the sidelines for the Oklahoma Sooners football network.
Rodgers has worked as a local television sportscaster since 2000. He and his wife, Becky, live in Norman.
Daniel Holdge is an Oklahoma guy who’s come back home. Daniel joined the SportsXtra team in September 2007 after serving as Sports Director at KSPR-TV in Springfield, Mo. His television career kicked off in Victoria, Texas, as weekend sports anchor/reporter.
Daniel was born and raised in the Sooner State. He graduated from Putnam City High School and got his college degree at Central Oklahoma.
His experience includes covering Super Bowl XXXVIII, the PGA Championship, the San Antonio Spurs, the St. Louis Cardinals’ World Series run and all the high school sporting events you can name.
In his spare time you can find Daniel hanging out with his wife Kellie, playing lots of golf or chasing his dogs.
